It has been an absolute honour and a privilege being back at Forres in my capacity as school director. Forres has always been at the cutting edge of educational trends and methodologies and it blows me away to see how our children thrive at school. Having teaching and learning methodologies based on current neuroscientific research has enabled our school to equip our children with the tools they need to be successful during High School and into the future.
Seeing this in action on a daily basis has cemented in my mind the importance of continuing to remain at the forefront of educational research while placing equal importance to the education of the whole child – head and heart!
I look forward to many more years in which we take Forres from strength to strength together.

I am absolutely delighted to have joined Forres Preparatory School in January 2023. My positive experiences here confirm the ethos and culture that are spoken about and written into the school’s learning framework. They are not merely written; they are evident in the atmosphere of this lovely school. The elements of kindness, belonging, compassion, safety, security and more emanate from the staff and permeate to the students. The narrative practice, which helps our children to build a vision for their lives and the restorative practice in discipline and conflict resolution are authentic, while we systemically support each child to achieve their individual academic potential. Our sport, art and culture offerings are seen as vital tools of expression for our children and important ingredients in the pursuit of happiness and holistic development. At Forres, respect for our students is essential in all our dealings with them and each other since respect begets respect.
