We are excited to announce the launch of Forres Secondary School, opening in 2026. This marks a significant and inspiring new chapter in our school’s rich educational journey, offering a seamless continuation of the values, innovation, and excellence that Forres is known for.
Forres Secondary School will begin by offering Grades 8 and 9 in 2026, followed by the introduction of Grade 10 in 2027, and continuing to expand year by year. This thoughtful, phased approach ensures that each grade receives the same care and attention that has become the hallmark of our preparatory years.
The new secondary school will be situated at a new school site, 3 doors down from Forres Preparatory School at the newly acquired and renovated 12 Park Road, which will be thoughtfully reimagined and upgraded to meet the needs of senior students. Plans are underway to create a learning environment that is modern, nurturing, and designed to support academic, social, and emotional development through the secondary school years.
We are pleased to announce that Brett Pearce will serve as the Acting Headmaster of Forres Secondary School. Brett brings a wealth of educational experience, a deep commitment to progressive learning principles, and a clear vision for a future-facing secondary school that prepares students for the world ahead.
Rooted in the ethos of the Forres Preparatory School, the new secondary school will build on our strong foundation of inquiry-based learning, respect for individuality, and commitment to holistic development. Forres Secondary School will be a space where young people are encouraged to think critically, act compassionately, and grow into engaged, confident citizens.
